Mount Tukuche (6920m) is situated in the Dhaulagiri range. It is becoming one of the popular peaks in that area. You should acclimatize before climbing this technical mountain. A Journey from Pokhara, passing Beni, Tatopani, Kalopani, Marpha takes us to the base camp of Tukuche peak. You may also take a direct flight to Jomsom (2800m.) from Pokhara and a trek to Marpha, Yak Kharka, Hidden valley and reach Tukuche peak base camp. Tukuche (Dhaulagiri Himal - North East of Dhaulagiri) was first ascended by a Swiss team in 1969. Till today, a total of 38 expeditions 19 teams had succeeded, including 72 people submitted. The last successful expedition was in autumn 2003 by French from North-West Ridge.
