Lhakpa Ri Expedition From Lhasa- (7,043m)

Mount Lhakpa Ri is another emerging expedition mission in Tibet, and many climbers are attracted towards this mountain making their ascent through Tibet side. It divides the upper east Rongbuk and Kharta glaciers. It is very close to Mount Everest and one feels as if one has successfully climbed Mount Everest itself, the moment he steps atop this mountain.

It was first climbed by George Mallory who was on his way to the Everest reconnaissance in 1921, and he had seen it North Col.

Mount Lhakpa Ri expedition provides a wonderful opportunity to sample the delights of Tibet and the Himalaya including time in Lhasa. We come up to Base Camp by traveling fly to Gonggar airport and transfer to Lhasa city as well as sightseeing the next day. After a complete expedition, drive to Lhasa. The ascent from Base Camp follows in the historic footsteps of Mallory and Irvine, snaking its way up the East Rongbuk Glacier between the many ice pinnacles to Advance Base Camp from where we launch our summit bid. Approaching Lhakpa Ri, Middle Summit Lhakpa Ri, while tough on the lungs is arguably the most ‘climbable’ 7018m peak in the world, whilst giving the most breathtaking views of the mighty Everest.
