Everest Expedition From Lhasa- (8,849m)

If you have the dream of kissing the highest point of the Earth Mount Everest, remember Monterosa Treks and Expedition. Your Expedition begins as you land in Nepal. When you arrive in Kathmandu and meet with the staff of our Monterosa in the airport they transfer you to the hotel. The next day, the introduction section to the members of our crews takes place. Since then we have arranged your Tibet Visa and other necessary documents for the Everest Expedition.

KATHMANDU - Lhasa (Saturday & Tuesday): every week at 10:40 A.M. you will be heading to the Kathmandu airport, 8 KM far from downtown. Fly to Lhasa is perhaps the most beautiful flight in the world above the world's highest peak, Mount Everest and the other charismatic Himalayan ranges. Gonggar Airport is reached after a 1:30 one hour minutes flight. Lhasa city is 90km distance from the Airport. You will be taken to the hotel for a night's stay. Spending one night or two days sightseeing and excursions to Potala Palace, Norbulingka, The Jokhang, and the surrounding Barkhor market, Drepung & Sera Monasteries is worthy to adjust ourselves with the very environment.

Lhasa to Shigatse: Shigatse is the second-largest city in Tibet. You get to enjoy the view of the Tibetan lifestyle, traveling 380 km to reach this city. From ABC, the route goes to the east Rongbuk glacier and an easy snowy slope to the North Col at 7070m, where camp 1 is situated on snow. long angled snow slopes are there to climb 7900m for setting camp 2. The route from camp 2 to camp 3 (8300m) is quite difficult as it is a series of rocks. From camp 3 to target North summit and last evening start climbing for the final summit. There is a series of rocky climbs after which is a median angled snow slope where we have to climb on joint rocks and snow until we reach camp heights of 8400m. To reach there, we have to fix the ropes on climbing but there are safety lines, which provide you a safe place to rest and avoid windy climate as this route is mostly very windy. Now the route is steep mixed with rocks and snow steps, so you require very considerable care for yourself, to your clothing and oxygen equipment. After that, the North East Ridge is wide but we have to move climbing small steps with a little bit of height until we reach the place for rope fixing.

Though the climbing above is a little bit exposed it is easy again to reach ahead in the second steps. Now the route is in the series of the small nude ridge, which is sometimes seems covered with snow. The ladder should use to climb ahead in the large boulder ahead. The rope should be fixed above that section of the route. A gentle ground route appears above this to reach the third step. The fixed rope should be used to the Col before the final summit on snowy slopes. There are quite steep again and needed fixed ropes to go ahead to the buttressed rocks from where there is a short section of corniced ridge to step on the Summit of Mount Everest 8848m.
